Over the weekend, I shared how Spring has changed our schedule: We're getting outside more in the morning, whether it be for a directed Nature Study, soaking up some rays while enjoying an art lesson, time with hoops and floss, running our hearts out, or whatever other excuse I can conjure, and leaving the formal core lessons for the afternoon, when my worn out youngest babe naps sweetly.
For the sake of Homeschool-Blogging-Mom-Voyeurism, which we'll call simply HBMV, Talysa, a really fun and energetic e-peep from Tennessee, asked if I might elaborate on this said Spring schedule. So, here it is in all its wimpy glory:

So hard to not elaborate farther and explain that this is only a skeleton of our week, a guide. Some days everyone moves faster and other days, we linger over something special and finish later than we expected. But, by far, I prefer to leave plenty of wiggle room for those delight-directed studies from which well-equipped inquisitive kids cannot seem to keep. It's all about making those connections, right?
Happy peeking, y'all! This lonely child never knew how much fun it could be to share!!
Tell me: Don't you just love to peek in at other homeschools and see how they roll? Have you ever wanted to get a bird's eye view of how examinations work with Charlotte Mason led folks? Check out my pal, Jeanne, all this week at A Peaceful Day, and encourage her sweet Jemimah as she spills all she knows about a gazillion noble subjects!!
Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeletequestion 1) What is travel time?
ReplyDeletequestion 2) Is your book of Centuries a timeline? and what are you putting in it? just curious.
Oh yes! I'm a peeper, a stalker, and I love to see what others are doing!
Oh my goodness!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link.
The exams are going well too! So different to when I was at school...
Wow. I admire you. I've always wanted to homeschool, but my husband doesn't so I have given up on that plan.
