I Must Have a Nook! . . . A Poem

Oh dear!  I must have a Nook
With which to read many and many a book
That some have wrongly deemed like wretched lint
And rendered them unavail and out-of-print.

Oh, yes, I must have a Nook!
For sooth my passion should not be mistook,
As one which betrays its love of the bound,
But rather longs to carry one's library around.

May the God of heaven provide me a Nook
That many hours fixed to the computer we may unhook,
And read to our delighted hearts' content,
As we abide patiently this life with time little misspent.

  2. I think you should sell your poem to Nook in exchange for one loaded with out-of-print books!! :)

  3. You're killing me :)

Max has asked for a Kindle (from his grandparents) for Christmas. We could never give up physical books but being able to read those OP books... Well, now that you've put it in verse you may have me convinced that little want-ity is, indeed, a necessity!

  5. I sure hope you get one. I love my Kindle. I only wish I'd bought it sooner.

  6. Love this! I was torn between a Kindle and Nook, but just settled on a Kindle (some Amazon gift cards helped in that decision). I wish I had splurged sooner!
